MIELE FIS BC CUP - EVENT UPDATE: Philp makes it two wins in a row; Wood grabs bronze
Silver Star Resort, BC (March 7, 2010) - The FIS Miele BC Cup and J1 Western Canadian Championships wrapped up today after six races.
Trevor Philp, of the Raymond James Alberta Ski Team, made it two victories in a row, taking gold in today's slalom. Teammate Tristan Tafel (AST) grabbed the silver and Ben Maclean (BCST) the bronze.
Alexandra McGlinn (NZE) won gold in the ladies race. She was joined on the podium by Alecia Willis (BCSTW) in second and Catherine Wood (BANFF) in third.

Silver Star Resort, BC (March 6, 2010) - Trevor Philp and Tatum Monod of the Alberta Ski Team captured gold in today's slalom.
On the men's side, Mathieu Leduc (MTWAS) claimed silver, with Sean Alexander (AST) the bronze. The ladies silver medal went to Tianda Carroll (ASA), while Catherine Wood (BANFF) grabbed the bronze.
Alberta athletes also took top spots in the J1 category.

Silver Star Resort, BC (March 5, 2010) - Sean Alexander (AST) captured gold today in the GS at the FIS BC Miele Cup. Cory Canart and Trevor Philp (AST) finished second and third respectively.
The top-3 J1 finishers were:
Ford Swette (BCST)
Michael Law (BANFF)
Sean Vaugeois (SUNSH)
On the ladies side, Jocelyn Ramsden (J1) snagged the gold medal today. Alecia Willis (BCST) (J2) grabbed the silver, with Vanessa Alboiu (NATC) (J1) the bronze.
The third place J1 finisher was Kailee Darlington (WMSC).

Silver Star Resort, BC (March 3, 2010) - Tatum Monod (Banff) of the Raymond James Alberta Ski Team took gold in today's Super-G at the MieleFIS BC Cup at Silver Star Resort. The Banff native was joined on the podium by Alexandra McGlinn (NZE) in second, and Jocelyn Ramsden (BCST) in third.
Ramsden also took top honours for J1's, followed by Thea Miles (NATC) in2nd and Kailee Darlington (WMSC) in 3rd.
AST alumnus Erik Read (CAST/Banff) claimed gold in the men's race. Andy Trow (Sunshine) captured silver, with Mathieu Leduc (MTWSC) earning the bronze.
Filip Gigic (NATC) was top J1 for the second day, with Kevyn Read (Banff) second and William Konatz (BCST) 3rd.
Action resumes tomorrow with a giant slalom set for 10:00 (PST).

Sean Alexander (CARC) led a Raymond James AST sweep of the podium as he was joined by Andy Trow (Sunshine) in 2nd and AST alumnus Erik Read (CAST/Banff) in 3rd. Filip Gigic (NATC) was top J1.
The ladies SG was won by Alecia Willis of the BC Ski Team. Top Albertan was Jennifer Saunders (NATC) in 6th.
