Happy New Year

 

2011 has begun, which means four more months of racing until everyone
is back in the gym. Being on the Alberta Team for the first time this
season has had its ups and downs. The coaching staff is amazing, they
have put in a tremendous effort to make everyone’s season the best it
can be. Coming into January now means the group will be a little split,
with the older guys heading over to Europe in a few days for some races
and the World Junior Championships. A couple of the younger guys, Mike
and Filip, are out in Quebec for the Nor-Ams and the other three, Jeff,
Kevyn, and Curtis, are here in Calgary and Nakiska preparing for the
upcoming Miele Cup race in Lake Louise. So far it has been a good
season I would say, with Trevor and Eric getting some podium results in
the Nor-Ams down in Colorado and again here in Panorama, as well as
Sean winning the Miele cup races in Panorama. These are just a few of
the achievements of the Alberta Ski Team, with many personal goals that
have also been achieved. Continue reading
